What’s in ORIGIN PRE?
Origin PRE is a large-formula pre workout with an ingredient selection that boasts both killer pump and extreme energy.
Typically, it’s very hard to achieve the upper echelon of energy WHILE maintaining a quality pump at the same time. But, just take a look at the ingredients and dosage present in this pre-workout…

How can they possibly do this is a question a lot of guys will ask. But the better question is, why doesn’t any other company do this?
The Pump Component of ORIGIN PRE
Citrulline Malate – Betaine Anhydrous – Agmatine Sulfate – L-Norvaline
Citrulline Malate (8.2 Grams)
As we have discussed in our article: Citrulline Vs Citrulline Malate, Citrulline Malate is the ultimate pump and performance enhancer. Compared to l-arginine and all of its various derivatives, Citrulline Malate can boast effectiveness 600% in excess when dosed properly.
It all comes down to the ‘when dosed properly’.
Based on the research, Citrulline Malate is effective at dosages from 6 grams to 9 grams. Anything less than 6 grams and you’re not going to get what you’re after. But once you hit 6, it’s on – via both pump and endurance.

It turns out, that while 6 grams of citrulline malate works well, 8 grams works even better. This study found that 8 grams of citrulline malate supplementation not only increases exercise endurance and strength, but also reduces post workout muscle soreness at the 24 hour mark.
So pump, strength, endurance, and recovery – all supported by this one ingredient at its 8.2 gram dosage.
Betaine Anhydrous (2.5 Grams)

To explain this ingredient quickly, betaine encourages proper hydration in muscle cells which increases muscle fullness. It isn’t fully understood if this hydration effect is to blame, but betaine supplementation has been found to increase the strength, size, and growth of muscles – while decreasing fat.
The typical dose of betaine anhydrous in the studies we followed consisted of 2.5 grams, either taken together or split into two 1.25 gram dosages. This is consistent with what we find in ORIGIN PRE.
Agmatine Sulfate (750 Milligrams)
Agmatine is one of the few ingredients that we here at BWSB are not 100% well versed on. But, from what we have read and experienced, here is our take…
Agmatine causes a quick stop on nitric oxide production, which then causes an upswing in nitric oxide production after that point.
In addition to interacting with nitric oxide production, agmatine also has some nootropic/stimulatory benefits for working out.
Based on the research and reviews we’ve read, 750 mg of Agmatine Sulfate is a consistently effective dosage.
The Energy/Focus Component of ORIGIN PRE
Natural Caffeine – PURENERGY – Higenamine – ThermoDiamine – Alpha GPC – L-Theanine – Hordinine
The energy complex in ORIGIN PRE is an absolute power house with not just two or three potent ingredients, but SEVEN!
In our experience this is the most effective way to boost energy on all mental levels, not just the jitters.
The energy and focus blend in ORIGIN PRE starts with 150 mg of natural caffeine, and then adds in another 150 mg of PURENERGY which is said to provide 30% more caffeine than ‘regular’ caffeine alone.
This in effect, places us at 330 mg of theoretical caffeine which then is complimented by Higenamine, Thermodiamine, and Hordenine. For those of you who are familiar with stimulants, this is a seriously powerful combination!
To level things out and offer the complete focus experience, ORIGIN PRE also contains choline via Alpha GPC and L-Theanine. This not only provides more focus, but increases the overall sensory experience of the stimulants.

Every hope we had while we reviewed the ingredient label for this pre workout came true. Which, is pretty darn rare.
Our 5 staff members that reviewed this pre workout all give it 5/5. But we will say that this one is to be used at ½ serving if you are lifting late at night, as the caffeine content will keep you up otherwise.
